Collection: Wendell Supreme Shannon

(b Brooklyn, NY) Wendell Supreme Shannon is a fine artist, muralist and designer exploring the transformative milestones that shape one's path. Raised in Baltimore, Maryland, he attended Dulaney High School and later pursued a degree in business management at Morgan State University. He also holds a master in professional studies degree in Business of art and Design from Maryland Institute College of Art.

Shannon's path to art began with a milestone, a tragedy. During his sophomore year at Morgan State, he was diagnosed with Dermatomyositis and Rheumatoid Arthritis. He was unable to use his hands for two years. During extensive treatment at Johns Hopkins Hospital, art became therapy. It was a transformation that propelled him toward a career as a fine artist.

Emerging with health and new direction, Shannon created his first documented painting, "Re-Joyce," and founded, Solely Supreme. Over the years, Shannon developed his signature geometric abstraction style, "Perfectionism." The work features vibrant color palettes, bold geometric shapes, and meticulous lines that fool with unpredictable moments within high structure.

Shannon has broadly exhibited his work, created significant murals, produced community art projects, released several lines of high fashion accessories, and maintains a practice of mentoring young artists.

Shannon's art is influenced by geometric abstraction pioneers like Piet Mondrian and Frank Stella, and his works are known for their color-blocking techniques, bold outlines, and precision. His style continues to evolve, as does his mission to inspire others to navigate life’s changes through art.
