 Titled after a lyric in a song by Nicole's brother: “I took apart the sky for you and left it there for you to see,” this piece chronicles a prolonged season of her hanging on - tooth and nail - to that inner wellspring of joy and learning how to ask for help.

This piece is the feature for the cover of the March 2025 "BE" mental health issue of Baltimore Magazine, along with a short interview with Nicole.
